This collector is designed for use on L Series tanks, or other open circuit applications and is not suitable for frost areas, unless provided with mechanical or electrical means of freeze protection.

This collector is designed for use with J Series tanks and closed circuit, non-residential solar hot water systems. When filled with Solahart "Hartgard" solution in accordance with installation instructions this collector is suitable for frost areas. The absorber plate incorporates 7 separate copper risers fused to an aluminium fin with an anodised selective surface.

TECHNICAL DATA SPECIFIC TO J / K COLLECTOR
These collectors are designed for use with J Series tanks, and are only suitable for connection to a closed heat exchanger circuit. When filled with Solahart "Hartgard" solution in accordance with the installation instructions the collector is suitable for use in frost areas. The absorber is made from two sheets of steel, with press formed fluid ways and headers. The formed steel sheets are bonded together by a resistance welding process, steel collector sockets are MIG welded to the assembled absorber plate.
