3.1 TEST LOCATION
Each system design has been tested for its performance at the Solahart Industries Pty Ltd, Research Test Facility. Tests were witnessed by a representative of the Solar Energy Research Institute of Western Australia who ensured the accuracy of measurements and validity of the tests.
3.2 HOT WATER OUTPUT
The unique feature of the Heat Store is its ability to give up its energy at high rates of water flow and at peak delivery temperatures. The measure of this feature is demonstrated by the series of draw off tests shown on the graph below.
Each Heat Store was subjected to a full day heat up cycle with solar energy only. At approx 3.00 p.m. the total volume of each Heat Store was drawn off at the flow rate indicated on the graph.
The volume and temperatures of the water drawn were recorded and
plotted to show the characteristic Heat Store hot water output.
